    • The Food Stamp Program - Helps families buy nutritious foods.
    • Medicaid - Provides medical assistance to households and individuals.
    • NJ FamilyCare - Offers free or low cost health insurance for uninsuredchildren 18 or younger.
    • LIHEAP. (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) - Helps households pay their home heating costs.
    • WFNJ/TANF. (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) - Provides temporary cash assistance. Also provides support services to families.
    • WFNJ/GA. (General Assistance) - Provides temporary assistance to individuals and childless couples.
    • NJ Cares for Kids - Offers assistance with childcare costs.
    • Kinship Navigator Program - Provides assistance to adults who are raising a relative’s child.

Child Care Specialists are available to assist you. The Child Care Specialist will provide referrals without bias to type of care or individual provider. No client or provider shall be discriminated against because of race, color, national origin, disability, age or sex.

  As a child care resource and referral agency, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen will refer you to child care providers. However, we do not endorse any particular child care provider. We advise you to visit and discuss your needs with all child care providers before choosing one.
